Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on securing applications throughout their lifecycle, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will own the tooling, automation, and processes necessary for application security, working remotely to integrate security into developer workflows and leverage AI for enhanced efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the vulnerability management program with a focus on application security and runtime detection
• Build and maintain security tooling that integrates into CI/CD pipelines to automate security processes
• Collaborate with engineering teams to influence secure development practices through practical tools and defaults

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in software and/or platform engineering with a focus on production-quality tools
• Deep expertise in application security and vulnerability management, including knowledge of CVEs and dependency risks
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP/GKE or equivalent
• Proven ability to utilize AI tools effectively in coding and analysis
• Experience in influencing engineering culture around security practices
