Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the tooling and processes that ensure application security, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will work remotely to build and maintain security systems, automate vulnerability management, and influence secure development practices within engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the vulnerability management program focusing on application security and runtime detection
• Build and maintain security tooling that integrates into CI/CD pipelines to automate security processes
• Collaborate with engineering teams to promote secure development practices through practical tools and defaults

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in software and/or platform engineering
• Deep experience in application security and vulnerability management, including understanding CVEs and dependency risks
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP/GKE or equivalent
• Proven ability to utilize AI tools as a core part of the development process
• Experience influencing engineering culture around security practices
