Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the tooling and automation for application security, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will build and maintain security systems that integrate into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring security is a seamless part of the development process while working remotely from Spain.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the vulnerability management program focusing on application security and runtime detection
• Build and maintain security tooling that automates security processes within developer workflows
• Collaborate with engineering teams to influence secure development practices through practical tools and defaults

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in software and/or platform engineering, with a focus on production-quality tools
• Deep experience in application security and vulnerability management, including understanding CVEs and container security
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP/GKE or equivalent
• Demonstrated use of AI tools as a core part of the development process
• Experience influencing engineering culture around security to enhance developer engagement without slowing down workflows
