Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Enabling Chainguardians to excel in a collaborative environment, the full-time Senior Security Engineer on the Cyber Resiliency team will design and optimize security controls, engineer custom detection logic, and lead incident response efforts while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and optimize technical controls to detect and prevent security incidents
• Engineer custom detection logic and automate security operations using SOAR and Agentic AI playbooks
• Collaborate across teams to integrate security best practices into products and conduct thesis-driven threat hunts

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development, information security, or IT engineering
• Experience securing cloud-native environments and cloud endpoint security operations
• Ability to craft automation using languages such as Go, Python, or Shell
• Knowledge of cloud forensics and incident response
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, or Information Systems preferred but not required
