Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

As the first security-focused engineer, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will identify and remediate security-related risks, select and deploy security tooling, and partner with engineers to enhance the security posture of the platform in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Select, deploy, and tune security tooling across all relevant repositories and environments
• Identify and remediate security-related risks, including cloud IAM and product vulnerabilities
• Own vulnerability management and support compliance commitments through evidence collection and control testing

Required qualifications

• 8+ years as a software engineer
• Experience working on large-scale data platforms, including databases and ML/AI systems
• Experience building encryption, authentication, and authorization features for high-throughput products
• Experience with CSP stacks, including object storage security and key rotation
• Demonstrated ownership of ambiguous projects with minimal guidance
