Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the Elastic SIEM and Detection Engineering program, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will optimize the Elastic Security platform, build scalable detection pipelines, and support incident response efforts while working remotely or from various locations.

Key responsibilities

• Own and optimize the Elastic Security platform, including ingestion pipelines and telemetry quality
• Develop and maintain a Detection-as-Code pipeline while enhancing detection strategies and metrics
• Assist with complex alert escalations and perform initial incident scoping and containment actions

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience
• 3+ years focused on SIEM engineering or detection engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Elastic Security and the Elastic Stack
• Experience with Detection-as-Code workflows using Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of detection tuning and operational detection quality
