Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support secure software development and infrastructure, the remote Senior Security Software Engineer will build and harden security-sensitive tooling, conduct secure code reviews, and enforce security practices across the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Build and harden internal security-sensitive tooling alongside engineering and operations teams
• Review security-sensitive pull requests and enforce security gates across the software development lifecycle
• Improve visibility into security posture and prepare engineering teams for HITRUST and customer security expectations

Required qualifications

• At least 6+ years of software engineering experience with security-relevant systems in production
• Strong programming skills in Python or at least one systems language
• Experience contributing to cloud security controls and familiarity with AWS and/or GCP
• Strong understanding of web application security and secure software development lifecycle practices
• Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code
