Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance the security posture of the AWS environment and software development pipeline, the remote Senior Security Engineer will manage cloud security, vulnerability management, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement preventative controls and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Own cloud security posture across the AWS environment, utilizing Wiz and AWS-native services to mitigate risks
• Establish secure defaults in Infrastructure as Code through reusable modules and policy as code
• Run vulnerability management processes, including intake, prioritization, and remediation with engineering teams

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience in cloud security and vulnerability management
• Strong background in AWS security, including IAM, networking, and container orchestration
• Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code, with proficiency in Terraform
• Demonstrated experience in running a vulnerability management program
• Working knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and threat modeling
