Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance detection capabilities, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will build and tune high-confidence detections across various platforms while collaborating closely with incident response and engineering teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and tune detections across platforms such as Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel
• Translate incidents and threat intelligence into operational detection logic
• Drive the full detection lifecycle, including design, validation, and monitoring

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in detection engineering or related fields
• A degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience with major SIEM or security analytics platforms
• Strong skills in query and scripting languages such as SPL, KQL, SQL, or Python
• Practical understanding of attacker behavior across various environments
