Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Driving security architecture and supporting offensive testing practices, the full-time salaried Senior Security Engineer will partner with engineering teams to design secure systems, conduct penetration testing, and lead threat modeling for new features and platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead threat modeling and architecture security reviews to identify design-level risks before production
• Conduct hands-on penetration testing of web applications, APIs, and cloud infrastructure, manually validating exploitability
• Define secure architecture patterns and security requirements for engineering teams building on cloud-native infrastructure

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in security architecture, application security, and penetration testing
• Hands-on penetration testing skills with the ability to independently plan and execute assessments
• 2+ years of experience leading architecture reviews, threat modeling, or offensive security engagements
• Practical experience with SAST, DAST, and security automation tools within CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency in a modern programming language (Python, .NET, or TypeScript) for writing proof-of-concept exploits
