Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing security program, the remote Senior Security Engineer will lead a small team in enhancing security measures, managing incident responses, and overseeing vulnerability and patch management across various environments.

Key responsibilities

• Redesign internal network zones to improve segmentation and visibility during the Palo Alto migration
• Own the relationship with the SIEM/SOC, enhancing detection and response capabilities across core and cloud workloads
• Act as the internal technical lead during security incidents, coordinating with DFIR partners and conducting tabletop exercises

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on security engineering experience across network, endpoint, and identity domains
• Deep practical experience with enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto preferred), SIEM operations, and EDR platforms
• Demonstrated incident-response experience with real event containment
• Strong judgment in prioritizing risks and automating repetitive tasks
• Security certifications such as CISSP, GIAC (GCIA/GCIH/GDSA), or PCNSE are valued
