Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Hands-on and highly capable, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will manage the technical security roadmap, oversee security programs and risk management, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the technical security roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on risk and regulatory requirements
• Conduct security reviews and assessments for new systems and maintain audit-ready documentation
• Embed security practices into the software development lifecycle and partner with engineering teams to identify risks early

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, cybersecurity, or a related technical security role
• Hands-on experience across at least two major security domains, such as application security and cloud security
• Experience securing environments subject to HIPAA or comparable regulatory requirements
• Strong working knowledge of at least one major cloud provider and associated IAM and security practices
• Experience with application-security tooling and practices, including SAST and secure software development
