Senior Security Engineer
Job Summary
Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will enhance security measures, manage incident responses, and develop secure practices while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Own the design and hardening of security infrastructure across cloud environments, including network segmentation and endpoint detection
- Lead end-to-end vulnerability management, including assessments, triaging, and driving remediation with engineering teams
- Act as incident commander for security incidents, managing containment, eradication, and post-incident reviews
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, cybersecurity, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 5-8+ years in security engineering, incident response, or related infrastructure roles
- Strong knowledge of network security fundamentals and hands-on experience with AWS cloud security
- Real incident response experience, including triage and forensics
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST CSF 2.0 and SOC 2
