Senior Security Engineer II

Job Summary

To enhance security capabilities, the full-time Senior Security Engineer II will work remotely to design, build, and operate automated security solutions while leading incident response efforts and mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions to improve and automate security capabilities across the organization
• Analyze security trends and metrics to identify opportunities for enhancing the security posture and collaborate with stakeholders for execution
• Lead incident response efforts, ensuring effective resolution and remediation of security incidents while refining security documentation

Required qualifications

• BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or 8 years of security domain experience without a degree
• 4+ years of experience acting as a trusted advisor in a team setting
• 4+ years of experience coaching engineers or analysts
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms and data architectures
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language for automation
