Senior Security Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Security Operations Engineer, this remote position will lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of security detection and response capabilities, focusing on engineering scalable, automated security solutions across various domains.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the development and operations of security tools and services, including SIEM and EDR, while building detection rules and automated playbooks
• Serve as a technical resource for security analysts, conducting design reviews and providing engineering guidance on detection and response workflows
• Architect and implement security engineering capabilities, partnering with cross-functional teams to embed security requirements in the development lifecycle

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering or operations roles
• Demonstrated ability to independently scope and deliver multi-month security engineering projects
• Experience with cloud-native environments, specifically Azure and AWS
• Proficiency in scripting and automation languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
