Senior Security Research Engineer

Job Summary

Driving research and development efforts, the full-time Senior Security Research Engineer will focus on threat research, detection engineering, and behavioral analytics while mentoring peers and influencing technical direction in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead research into emerging attacker tactics and develop high-fidelity detections and behavioral models for the Exabeam platform
• Mentor Security Researchers and Detection Engineers, providing technical guidance and shaping research priorities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate emerging threats into product capabilities and enhance detection quality

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity with expertise in threat detection, security research, or detection engineering
• Deep understanding of attacker methodologies, including MITRE ATT&CK and various attack vectors
• Experience developing security detections and behavioral analytics for enterprise security products
• Hands-on experience with Python and related scripting languages for automation and development
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate detection quality and improve behavioral fidelity
