Senior SEO and AEO Strategist

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time contract Senior SEO and AEO Strategist, the successful candidate will manage organic search and AI discoverability strategies for multiple accounts in eCommerce, lead generation, and multi-location businesses, all while working remotely and leveraging advanced technical SEO and AI integration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute organic search and AI visibility strategies for a defined portfolio of clients
• Conduct technical SEO audits and implement improvements across site architecture, crawl efficiency, and structured data
• Craft content strategies that enhance search intent, entity relationships, and topical authority while optimizing for AI citation

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of SEO experience, including at least 2 years in an agency setting managing client relationships and strategy
• Proven technical SEO expertise, including site architecture, Core Web Vitals, and JavaScript rendering
• Demonstrated experience with AEO, optimizing for AI answer engines
• Strong proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs or SEMrush
• Experience in both eCommerce and lead generation SEO, with a solid understanding of local SEO practices
