Senior Server Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a passionate Senior Server Engineer to join the NBA 2K team in a fully remote, full-time capacity, where the candidate will focus on backend architecture, design scalable distributed systems, and build high-performance backend services for online gameplay experiences.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize backend architecture and services that support NBA 2K's online features
• Design distributed systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance
• Build and maintain large-scale computing solutions for millions of concurrent players

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on backend and server-side systems
• Strong proficiency in C++ and familiarity with scripting languages, preferably Python
• Understanding of distributed and scalable systems, including multithreaded programming
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience in large-scale software development
• Experience developing secure transaction systems and familiarity with SQL databases
