Senior SharePoint Architect

Job Summary

To assess and stabilize an on-premises SharePoint environment, the remote Senior SharePoint Architect will conduct a comprehensive architectural review, evaluate access and permissions models, and develop a prioritized remediation roadmap for a financial services organization.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a thorough architectural review of the existing SharePoint environment and its integration with Microsoft 365
• Assess and identify risks related to access and permissions, collaborating with risk, audit, and compliance stakeholders
• Develop a remediation roadmap and recommend a target-state architecture to enhance governance while maintaining usability

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the SharePoint/Microsoft 365 ecosystem, with expertise in on-premises SharePoint architecture
• Proven experience leading architectural assessments or audits of existing environments
• Hands-on experience with access and permissions remediation at scale
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks, including content management policies and data retention
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 integration points and their governance implications in hybrid environments
