Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Department of Veterans Affairs' enterprise healthcare platforms, the remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer will enhance reliability engineering, cloud operations, and automation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve service delivery and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Technical Director to implement Site Reliability Engineering practices across platform services and hosted applications
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible
• Analyze system performance and reliability, driving improvements through automation and operational enhancements

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related roles in enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS or comparable cloud platforms and Linux-based systems
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipeline maintenance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
