Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer, this full-time remote position will design and build observability pipelines for datacenter infrastructure, ensuring actionable visibility and operational efficiency across Vultr's global footprint.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build the observability pipeline for datacenter infrastructure, collecting telemetry through various protocols
• Own the full stack from data collection to visualization and alerting using tools like Grafana, Loki, and Mimir
• Establish standards for telemetry collection and visualization while partnering with internal teams to meet operational needs

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in site reliability, platform, or infrastructure engineering in a production environment
• Hands-on experience building observability pipelines using Grafana, Loki, Mimir, or similar tools
• Working knowledge of datacenter hardware telemetry protocols including Redfish, IPMI, and SNMP
• Strong Linux fundamentals and operational experience in production infrastructure environments
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or similar)
