Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Site Reliability Engineer will establish and maintain infrastructure and operational systems for Thunderbird, focusing on designing CI/CD systems, diagnosing production incidents, and enhancing system reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and evolve the EKS-based Kubernetes platform, supporting service migrations and reliability initiatives
• Design and develop CI/CD systems for websites and services, ensuring pipeline reliability and authentication
• Diagnose and debug production incidents, driving root-cause analysis and implementing improvements

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or site reliability roles with hands-on Kubernetes experience
• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code on AWS using Terraform, OpenTofu, or Pulumi
• Strong security awareness in infrastructure practices, including identity management and secrets hygiene
• Demonstrated ability to proactively identify issues and communicate risks effectively
• Excellent written communication skills for effective collaboration with a distributed team
