Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

To support the advancement of site reliability engineering and cloud operations, the remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer will collaborate with key stakeholders to improve system availability, performance, and operational excellence for VA enterprise healthcare platforms while automating infrastructure and workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Technical Director to implement and mature Site Reliability Engineering practices across platform services
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and develop Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Design monitoring and observability solutions to enhance system reliability and accelerate issue detection

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in site reliability engineering and cloud operations
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes and Infrastructure as Code tools
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance engineering in cloud-native environments
• Familiarity with Federal security requirements and compliance standards
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
