Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

To build secure cloud foundations for FedRAMP High and IL5, the remote contract Senior Site Reliability Engineer will design and implement AWS GovCloud infrastructure, automate account provisioning, and establish cloud governance standards while mentoring other engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate AWS GovCloud foundations, including account provisioning and automation
• Implement service control policies and cloud governance automation
• Produce documentation and provide technical guidance to engineering teams on secure cloud patterns

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or related fields
• Hands-on experience with AWS multi-account environments and cloud governance tools
• Experience in automation using languages such as Python, Go, or Ruby
• Strong understanding of reliability, security, and cost management in cloud platforms
• Ability to document processes for audit and operational support
