Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Job Summary
To strengthen the reliability and visibility of production infrastructure, the full-time Senior Site Reliability Engineer will design and improve OpenTelemetry pipelines within a remote role in Europe, requiring consistent overlap with US Eastern Time mornings.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance OpenTelemetry pipelines for metrics, traces, and logs
- Define and implement service-level indicators (SLIs) and objectives (SLOs) based on reliability goals
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve observability practices and participate in incident-response activities
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Observability
- Proven experience building OpenTelemetry pipelines in a production GCP environment
- Strong knowledge of Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Google Cloud Monitoring tools
- Hands-on experience managing infrastructure with Terraform and Helm
- Ability to read and submit production code changes in Go or Node.js
