Senior Snowflake Administrator
Job Summary
As the senior hands-on owner of the Snowflake platform, the full-time Senior Snowflake Administrator will manage account security, data governance, and performance optimization while supporting a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage Snowflake accounts, databases, and user roles while ensuring security and compliance with governance policies
- Optimize virtual warehouses for performance and cost management, driving chargeback/showback initiatives
- Maintain documentation and operational runbooks while providing technical oversight to distributed administration resources
Required qualifications
- 8+ years in data platform or data engineering roles, with 5+ years of hands-on Snowflake administration experience
- Deep knowledge of RBAC/security design and data governance practices
- Strong skills in warehouse tuning, performance optimization, and cost management
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and scripting languages like Python or Bash
- Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with running Snowflake on AWS
