Senior Software Architect
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Software Architect to provide technical leadership and architectural direction for the NGA's TERPS production software, focusing on designing secure, scalable software solutions in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and modernization of the NGA's TERPS production software architecture
- Develop scalable, microservices-based software solutions and ensure integration with external data sources
- Support DevSecOps practices, including automated CI/CD pipelines and security compliance
Required qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 7 years with a Master's degree in a related field
- Proven experience designing complex enterprise software applications and microservices architectures
- Strong background in cloud-hosted environments, particularly AWS and/or OpenShift
- Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS or similar relational/spatial databases
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and technical architecture documentation
