Senior Software Developer

Job Summary

To support Veterans Affairs initiatives, the full-time Senior Software Developer will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application while designing and maintaining RESTful APIs in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application processing healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Java and/or NodeJS to serve structured healthcare data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data delivery and participate in code reviews

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies (Java and/or NodeJS)
• Proven experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular and cloud services (AWS/Azure)
• Strong understanding of structured healthcare data and EDI transactions
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
