Senior Software Development Engineer
Job Summary
Championing quality in software development, the full-time Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will focus on automation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and enhance testing practices in a remote-first environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive automation efforts, spending approximately 80% of time on test design and authoring using an AI-assisted approach
- Collaborate with Engineers, Product, and Design to define feature requirements and acceptance criteria early in the development lifecycle
- Develop and maintain automated tests in TypeScript/Playwright and contribute to the testing framework design and CI/CD quality gating
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience on a software development team, preferably in a cross-functional environment
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with Playwright or similar automation frameworks
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing tools and API testing knowledge (REST/GraphQL)
- Experience in documenting manual tests and writing release criteria and test plans
