Senior Software Development Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Developer Experience team, responsible for maintaining Yahoo's enterprise Node.js development environment, managing developer platforms, and enhancing automation and documentation processes.
Key responsibilities
- Own the lifecycle of Yahoo's supported Node.js runtimes, including updates and deprecations
- Build and maintain Node.js packages, container images, and automated release pipelines
- Develop reusable CI/CD workflows for Node.js applications and support GitHub Enterprise and GitLab services
Required qualifications
- Strong software development skills in Node.js and JavaScript or TypeScript; familiarity with Python or Go is a plus
- Experience in building or maintaining shared developer platforms and runtime environments
- Proficient in Linux, containerization, and CI/CD practices, including build automation
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, GitLab, and modern source code management practices
- Working knowledge of AI programming tools such as Claude AI and GitHub Copilot
