Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for a 12-month contract position.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and train scientists on the ForestGEO App, a cloud-native web application
• Collaborate with a global team of ecologists to meet complex product requirements
• Architect and develop full-stack solutions, including frontend in NextJS and Azure Cloud services

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining full-stack web applications
• Experience building distributed cloud services using Azure, AWS, GCP, or equivalent
• Experience leading the design and release of a major software feature or product
• Experience with MySQL, TypeScript, NextJS, or equivalent
