Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the development of Network Monitoring features within the Datadog Agent, focusing on eBPF and Linux kernel interactions while investigating production incidents and improving system reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the end-to-end development of Network Monitoring features from ideation to implementation
• Build and maintain shared eBPF functionality for product teams
• Investigate and debug complex production issues involving the kernel and eBPF programs

Required qualifications

• Deep technical experience in Linux kernel development, eBPF, or low-level systems engineering in C
• Robust understanding of fundamental network protocols, including TCP and UDP
• Proven track record of architecting and building high-throughput, low-latency infrastructure
• 5+ years of experience engineering complex applications and tooling
• Ability to tackle hard technical problems and navigate complex challenges across the full stack
