Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Software Engineer will focus on developing a high-performance, low-latency calculation engine in Java, collaborating with product teams to translate design decisions into executable criteria while ensuring code quality and performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaboratively design and implement high-performance calculation engine code
• Work closely with the product team to codify design decisions into executable criteria
• Advocate for correctness-first approaches and foster a culture of quality within the team

Required qualifications:

• Strong experience in backend software development with a focus on Core Java
• Deep expertise in threading, allocation, garbage collection, and performance tuning in Java
• Strong domain knowledge in database engine or compiler design
• Experience designing programming languages
• Understanding of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) architecture
