Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support maritime route optimization efforts, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will work remotely on developing software for vessel performance modeling, voyage analysis, and optimization algorithms for U.S. Government and defense customers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and refine software for maritime voyage optimization, focusing on vessel performance and fuel-consumption modeling
- Create simulation and evaluation tools to assess optimization algorithms and route recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex maritime challenges into practical software solutions
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in Python and/or a compiled language such as Rust, C++, or C
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and computational problems
- Ability to translate domain or mathematical concepts into maintainable and testable software
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a background check
