Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for a contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build performant and scalable backend applications using Java, Kotlin, and Postgres in a cloud-based microservice architecture
• Participate in shaping the technical architecture of the product and translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions
• Deliver highly available, secure, and scalable services in a production environment, mentor other engineers, and generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in a technical field
• 4+ years of experience working with modern technologies on a full-stack team
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming best practices and a strong sense of responsibility in driving projects from inception to completion
• Willingness to collaborate with others, solve problems, and ship impactful features
• Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, strong communication and technical leadership skills, and a desire to mentor and help others improve their skills
