Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to support the Beneficiary Travel Self-Service System program.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain Travel Pay API, Claim Ingest API, and backend systems supporting BTSSS
• Develop integrations with VA.gov, the VA API ecosystem, mobile apps, and staff-facing tools
• Implement performant, secure, and reliable services for automated claim adjudication and processing

Required Qualifications

• Ability to successfully obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance designation
• Must reside in and be able to perform work in the United States
• Must have lived in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Experience in backend service development using modern programming languages
