Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to manage and oversee federal contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain secure, high-traffic backend services for Veteran-facing features
• Modernize legacy components and develop/refine REST APIs while integrating with VA enterprise systems
• Contribute to containerized deployments and troubleshoot complex backend issues in collaboration with engineering and operations teams

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot/Spring MVC
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with SQL databases (Oracle preferred) and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA
• Exposure to microservices concepts and distributed systems
• Bachelor's degree
