Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Genomics).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop back-end services for genomics data applications
• Collaborate with teams to ensure system resilience and scalability
• Work in a cloud-based micro-services environment to meet uptime and accuracy targets

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of Python, BASH, and Linux/Unix tools
• Experience with bioinformatics applications and tools such as Illumina BCL Conversion, GATK, or Sentieon
• Ability to quickly learn new scripting languages and tools
• Knowledge of Nextflow or other pipeline management software
• Understanding of system architecture and development methodologies
