Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Genomics).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop back-end services supporting genomics data applications
• Collaborate with data engineering, platform, and solutions teams to ensure system resilience and scalability
• Work in a cloud-based micro-services environment, adhering to uptime and accuracy targets

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of Python, BASH, and Linux/Unix tools
• Experience with bioinformatics applications, pipelines, and tools such as Illumina BCL Conversion, GATK, or Sentieon
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new scripting languages and tools
• Knowledge of Nextflow or other pipeline management software
• Understanding of system architecture and development methodologies
