Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs' Enterprise Acquisition Systems Support program.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable application components in an Agile environment
• Contribute to technical design and documentation, maintain source code, and execute enhancements with clear acceptance criteria
• Perform testing and quality activities, support defect resolution, and validate releases with security and operations stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant software engineering experience (or 4 additional years in lieu of the degree)
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications in a structured SDLC/Agile environment
• Strong proficiency with modern software engineering practices including code reviews and version control
• Experience producing technical documentation and supporting secure coding practices
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance at the Tier 2 (Moderate Risk) level
