Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer-Java Backend who can work independently and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evolve Spring Boot services and REST APIs deployed on AWS, focusing on resilience and performance
• Implement asynchronous patterns using Kafka and AWS messaging, ensuring robust event design and workflows
• Optimize data strategies across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis, balancing correctness with speed and cost efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5-8+ years in software engineering, with 3-5+ years of experience in Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs in production
• Hands-on experience with AWS and event-driven architectures using Kafka, SNS/SQS, or Kinesis
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis, and involvement in MSSQL to PostgreSQL migration
• Experience with CI/CD practices and observability tools like New Relic or Datadog
