Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to extend PostgreSQL for large-scale document workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development on PostgreSQL internals to evolve indexing strategies for large-scale unstructured/semi-structured data
• Enhance PostgreSQL's query engine by implementing BSON aware operators and custom scan nodes
• Collaborate with open source communities to align on roadmap priorities and contribute to the DocumentDB engine

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and experience with algorithms
• Background in systems design and databases
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL database engines
• Ability to work on query, indexing, and storage subsystems
