Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer I for the Messaging Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive the technical direction of key messaging platform features, collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Design, build, and maintain backend messaging systems using Ruby on Rails, including SMS/voice delivery pipelines
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions for messaging infrastructure

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience, with strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and JavaScript
• Experience building, maintaining, and scaling backend systems and APIs
• Advanced SQL proficiency and analytical mindset for working with large datasets
• Demonstrated ability to independently own and deliver complex projects end-to-end
• Experience working in teams with automated testing as a standard part of development
