Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Digital Pathology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the architecture and technical implementation of integration layers for Image Management Systems and core enterprise systems
- Design and maintain API middleware and microservices strategy for complex workflows between imaging systems and pathologist viewing systems
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to architect data pipelines for structured and unstructured data ingestion into the enterprise data lake
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Informatics, or equivalent work experience required; Master's degree preferred
- 5 or more years of experience in software architecture and systems integration in regulated healthcare or life sciences environments
- Expertise in designing integrations for Digital Pathology or high-content imaging systems
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and modern data platforms
- Proven track record of implementing healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7 and FHIR
