Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer / Search Engineer specializing in Elasticsearch and Vector Search.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement hybrid search strategies combining keyword matching and semantic search
• Build systems to measure and improve the quality of search results
• Manage the integration of OpenAI embeddings into Elasticsearch and optimize performance

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Elasticsearch and search engines in production
• Understanding of search theory, including lexical and vector search
• Strong proficiency in Python 3.10+ and experience with asynchronous programming
• Experience in designing data schemas for efficient search retrieval
