Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer, Database Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and enhance a large, highly-available database infrastructure using MySQL and Vitess
• Develop tools for self-service capabilities of the database infrastructure to support rapid feature development
• Collaborate with engineering teams on database storage needs and provide insights throughout the development lifecycle

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card holder) is required
• 5+ years of experience in data storage, core infrastructure, or distributed systems
• Professional experience with programming languages such as Go, PHP/Hack, Python, Ruby, or Java
• Experience operating distributed systems at scale, including relational databases like MySQL/Postgres
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, especially AWS, and deployment automation tools like Chef or Terraform
