Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale Java backend services for their global payments infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of backend services, distributed systems, and APIs
• Own features end-to-end, including architecture, coding, testing, observability, and deployment
• Mentor associate and mid-level engineers while identifying and delivering technical improvements

Required Qualifications

• Significant commercial experience with modern Java (5+ years) and distributed systems
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented programming
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures or Domain Driven Design
• Strong grasp of relational databases and data modeling
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, containerization, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code
