Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Senior Software Engineer, responsible for designing and operating high-integrity financial systems in a full-time role, focusing on ledgering, transaction processing, and money movement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and operate systems for ledgering, transaction processing, and real-time decisioning
• Own the lifecycle of financial transactions, ensuring correctness and handling failures
• Lead architectural decisions and mentor other engineers in best practices for financial systems

Required Qualifications

• Experience building or operating financial systems such as payments or banking infrastructure
• Deep understanding of fintech ecosystems, including card network fundamentals and transaction lifecycles
• Experience designing or working on ledger systems and decisioning systems in production
• Proficiency in Python and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
• Experience integrating with external financial APIs and handling distributed system complexities
