Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Software Engineer (CALC engine) will design and implement high-performance, low-latency calculation engine code, ensuring correctness and quality while collaborating with the product team to translate design decisions into executable criteria.

Key responsibilities:

• Work closely with the product team to codify design decisions into executable criteria
• Collaboratively design and implement high-performance, low-latency calculation engine code
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to team members and stakeholders

Required qualifications:

• Strong experience in backend software development
• Deep expertise in Core Java, including threading, allocation & garbage collection, and performance tuning
• Strong domain knowledge in database engine, compiler design, or investment bank front office
• Experience designing programming languages
• Understanding of JVM internals
