Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Ask VA initiative, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will act as the primary backend resource, focusing on backend design, implementation, and integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM while collaborating closely with the Software Engineer Lead in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary backend engineering resource, owning backend design and implementation tasks
• Build and maintain API abstraction layers connecting the Ask VA front end to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM backend
• Contribute to sprint planning and delivery commitments, ensuring the team meets scope and quality targets

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Demonstrated experience designing and building API abstraction layers, including REST integration patterns
• Hands-on experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails in a production environment
• Strong collaboration skills with a track record of effective partnerships with technical leads and cross-functional teams
